Las cloraciones del p-xileno y del m-xileno en presencia etannol  no siguen el modelo cinetico clasico. Se proponen nuevos modelos cineticos para ambas cloraciones  los cuales estande acuerdo con los resultados experimentales. &#8211; El 2 5 -dicloro  p-xileno procede exclusivamente del cloro p-xileno; en cambio  una parte muy importante (55% para una conversion del 95%) del 2 3-dicloro  p-xileno procede directamente del p-xileno. Al aumentar la concentracion de etanol  el modelo cinetico propuesto tiende al modelo cinetico clasico. &#8211; Los dicloros del m-xileno mas abundantes  2 4-dicloro  m-xileno y 4 6-dicloro  m-xileno
