En el presente trabajo hemos realizado un estudio microbiologico sobre 100 abscesos hepaicos, 50 de bovino y 50 de ovino. Las bacterias aisladas fueron caracterizadas cromatograficamente. Asi mismo, se estudio la fermentacion de un total de 25 azucares, los diferentes caracteres bioquimicos en 20 pruebas y los diferentes caracteres de patogenicidad en otras 7 pruebas. Igualmente se realizo un analisis de polimorfismo de los genes arnr 16s de agunos de los aislamientos obtenidos. El analisis de los resultados demostro la existencia de dos grupos diferenciables: 89 aislamientos se tipificaron como biovariedad a de fusobacterium necrophorum y 11 como biovariedad b.  finalmente, probamos la sensibilidad de los aislamientos obtendios frente a un total de 34 antimicrobianos, pertenecientes a distintos grupos quimicos. Entre todos ellos podemos destacar la actividad de los antibioticos beta-lactamicos, en la inhibicion del crecimiento de fusobacterium necrophorum, mientras que los aminoglucosidos fueron los
