La ecuacion cinetica propuesta es la siguiente: ko= kh+(h+)+kc((h+)k1\/(h+)2+(h+)k1+k1k2)+kw+koh-(kw\/(h+)) son especies cataliticas los aniones borato y fosfato dihidrogeno. El acido acetico indisociado inhibe ligeramente la reaccion.Se ha encontrado un efecto salino primario positivo en medio neutro y alcalino. La energia de activacion aparente mas elevada de las halladas es la correspondiente a ph 3 y vale 24 1 kcal.Mol-1. Se han calculado tambien las entropias y energias libres de activacion  resultando negativas las primeras.
