Con este fin se dise\u00f1o y construyo un reactor de lecho fijo  y se prepararon varios catalizadores con oxidos de metales alcalinos y alcalinoterreos. Asimismo se realizo un estudio bibliografico de la reaccion. En el estudio catalitico se determinaron las propiedades que podrian influir en la actividad del catalizador como el coeficiente de absorcion el calor de adsorcion  la superficie especifica y la distribucion y tama\u00f1o de poros  empleando la volumetria y la cromatografia como tecnicas experimentales. En el estudio cinetico se determino para cada catalizador la influencia del flujo y de la temperatura sobre la conversion y se hizo un estudio comparativo entre los catalizadores preparados en el departamento y otros comerciales.
