Se preparan los terminos pares de c6 a c16 de los hidrocloruros de las 2-n-alquilamino-2-desoxi-d-glucosas  por reaccion de la d-fructosa con aminas grasas. La configuracion del grupo alquilamino en el atomo de carbono 2 ha quedado demostrada mediante espectroscopia de  h-rmn del derivado pentabenzoilado. Por reaccion de estos compuestos con tiocinato potasico y con arilisotiocianatos  se han sintetizado alquilimidazolina-2-tionas y alquilimidazolidina-2-tionas polihidroxiladas. La estructura de estas ultimas se ha demostrado por espectroscopia de  h-rmn del derivado acetilado. Los nuevos compuestos se han caracterizado por sus analisis elementales  puntos de fusion  poderes rotatorios y espectroscopia de ir y uv.
