La validez de este test para el castellano quedo demostrada por la obtencion de un coeficiente de correlacion multiple de .80 entre este instrumento y pruebas de comprension de tipo tradicional. La segunda parte se dedica al tratamiento experimental. Tomando como criterio el test cloze y como variables independientes un total de 26 variables linguisticas  se elaboran un total de 10 formulas de legibilidad  de diferentes niveles de aplicabilidad.
