El metodo de calculo combina el formalismo del funcional de la densidad con la teoria de pseudopotenciales. Para los metales puros se obtienen valores muy exactos para los parametros usados en el trabajo semiempirico de formacion de aleaciones y para la comprensibilidad. Se calcula semiempiricamente la banere dipolar superficial de metales. Se predice la ocurrencia de solubilidad solida y miscibilidad liquida entre metales simples de igual Valencia usando como parametro el radio de core del pseudopotencial. Se calcula el calor de formacion de aleaciones alcalinas obteniendo valores acertados  que se interpretan fisicamente haciendo conexion con el trabajo semiempirico. Se encuentra que la diferencia de volumen atomico entre alcalinos es responsable de la ley de vegard para el volumen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
