Aunque la naturaleza de los productos obtenidos depende de la p-quinona y del compuesto organoaluminico reaccionantes  se obtiene siempre como producto mayoritario el p-difenol respectivo  acompa\u00f1ado de otras sustancias secundarias que pueden aparecer en cantidades importantes.
