Como datos de partida se disponen de dos matrices de 256&#215;256 elementos que corresponden a las imagenes izquierda y derecha de las camaras. El valor de cada elemento de estas matrices representa el nivel de gris de una region del espacio. El modelo consiste en un cojunto de algoritmos divididos en tres etapas. 1) procesamiento de bajo nivel  cuyo objeto es la extraccion de los contornos de las piezas de la escena. 2) procesamiento de nivel medio  que traguanta la escena y evalua la posicion de los centros de masas y 3) procesamiento estereoscopico que identifica los contornos y calcula la
