Dolores <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A partir de los isomeros z y e del 4 4-dimetoxi-2-butenoato de metilo por hidroxilacion estereoespecifica y reacciones sucesivas que mantienen la estereoquimica se han sintetizado la dl-eritrosa y dl-treosa respectivamente. Con el objeto de aplicar esta via de sintesis a otros sustratos para la obtencion de azucares mas complejos  se ha ensayado la prolongacion de la cadena carbonada en la posicion c-4 de los derivados del 4-oxo-2-butenoato de metilo. Para facilitar estas reacciones se han preparado los correspondientes tioacetales y se ha estudiado el comportamiento de sus aniones frente a reacciones de sustitucion. Asi se han llevado a cabo reacciones del anion del (e)-4 4-etilenditio-2-butenoato de metilo  formados por tratamiento con bases fuertes  con diferentes derivados halogenados  conduciendo en todos los casos a la sustitucion en c-2.
