Se presenta la formulacion del metodo en elastoplasticidad bi y tridimensional usando las soluciones fundamentales para espacios infinitos dentro del contexto del metodo directo de los elementos de contorno. Se establecen las bases teoricas y numericas en las que se basa el algoritmo desarrollado que ha dado lugar a una programa de ordenador que hace uso de discretizacion constante mediante elementos triangulares y tetraedricos y mediante el que se han logrado resolverlos ejemplos academicos y reales presentados las conclusiones ofrecen las caracteristicas de este poderoso metodo para la resolucion de problemas lineales y no lineales dentro del area de la mecanica de medios continuos  presentado el metodo como adecuado para la resolucion de problemas tridimensionales
