En este estudio dedicamos especial atencion al fenomeno de rotura del torbellino y desarrollamos una teoria que permite interpretar algunas de las caracteristicas observadas en la investigacion experimental. Se desarrolla un nuevo metodo experimental para estudiar el comportamiento de diferentes materiales sometidos a cavitacion en una corriente liquida. Este consiste en hacer incidir la estela de burbujas producidas por cavitacion  en el nucleo del torbellino desprendido del extremo del alabe  sobre la muestra de material objeto de ensayo. Hemos desarrollado un nuevo metodo experimental para determinar la intensidad del torbellino del extremo de un alabe.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
