Se configura el metodo como un problema de valores iniciales caracterizando posibles deformadas. Estos valores son delimitados en funcion de las condiciones de borde previo establecimiento de las ecuaciones de equilibrio sobre un elemento diferencial de la superficie deformada cuidadosamente elegido  el analisis de las funciones que relacionan los esfuerzos con las geometrias inicial y final de la superficie.
