El diguanosin tetrafosfato marcado radioactivamente (gp4 g-h3) inyectado en la vena femoral de la rata desaparece de la circulacion sanguinea alrededor de los 30 min. Cuando se inyecto conjuntamente gp4 g-h3 y gtp-c14 se observo una preferencia por parte del sistema nervioso central  en relacion con otros organos  a captar la radioactividad procedente del gp4 g. 2. Preparaciones de nucleos y pericarion de encefalo de rata mostraron una cierta capacidad para ligar el gp4 g cuando se incubaron in vitro. Se se\u00f1ala la posible existencia de dos areas ligantes para el gp4 g con afinidades de 0 1 y 0 8 um. El mismo fenomeno se observo con membranas purificadas de encefalo. Por experimentos de desplazamiento se deduce que la union es especifica. 3. La capacidad ligante del encefalo por el gp4 g aumenta a lo largo del desarrollo de la rata  alcanzando niveles equivalentes a la rata adulta a los veinte dias del nacimiento.
