Se estudian sus propiedades de funtorialidad y su relacion con los homomorfismos caracteristicos de los sumandos  y se construye el algebra de invariantes caracteristicos secundarios.  mediante el estudio de la restriccion de un fibrado foliado suma a las hojas de cada una de las foliaciones f sub 1 y f sub 2  se generalizan algunos resultados de goldman sobre holonomia de las hojas de una foliacion asi como los resultados analogos para hojas de subfoliaciones.
