Por estudios ir y rmn se encuentra que en los complejos de bencilidemininol su formula es cis-ticl sug 4 (l) sub 2 donde l representa la base de schiff.  en el caso de los complejos de n-benciliden-2-(2-piridil) estilaminal su formulaes ticl sug 4 l  donde l representa la base de schiff. Dado que el ligando se comporta como bidentado a traves de los atomos de nitrogeno piridinico e iminico.  los complejos derivados de orto-aminolfenol presentan la estructura cis-(ticl sub 4 (lh) sub 2)  donde lh representa la base de schiff.
