La primera  que recoge sistematiza y ordena los principios basicos de la taxonomia matematica y del analisis de conglomerados asi como los procedimientos existentes para la evaluacion y comparacion de las tecnicas de dicho analisis. En la segunda parte se ha clasificado una coleccion de neuroptero mediante cuatro procedimientos de conglomeracion y se han comparado los resultados obtenidos mediante el coeficiente cofenetico; se ha realizado un estudio comparativo de metricas habiendose conglomerado los resultados mediante los procedimientos enlace sencillo  enlace completo y distancia promedio no ponderado.
