Con el sistema desarrollado se ha medido las vidas medias de 11 niveles del atomo de potasio y de 10 del ion k+. Tras una discusion teorica del metodo de calculo  se obtienen las vidas medias de todos los niveles con n(10 del atomo de potasio y de todos los conocidos del ion k+ asi como todas las probabilidades de transicion permitidas entre ellos.
