El cap. Vii aborda los problemas filologicos de la trasmision textual de el crotalon y los criterios empleados para la edicion del texto  edicion que reune el 2 tomo de esta tesis. El 3 recoge mas de 2.000 notas al texto  y tanto aquellas que aclaran aspectos oscuros como otras que ilustran un contexto minimo imprescindible para valorar este
