Cerevisiae superproductores y excretores de metionina  tromina o lirina. En todos los casos  la cinetica de excrecion del aminoacido es la propia de un metabolito primario. En los mutantes excretores de metionina se han identificado genes responsables de la resistencia de etionina y excrecion de metionina. En otro tipo de excretores de metionina parece probable la intervencion de un factor citoplasmico implicado en la excrecion. En los mutantes excretores de la tronina se han identificado pares responsables de la superproduccion del aminoacido y gases responsables de la excrecion. La excrecion de lirina muestra su comportamiento genetico confuso que no se ajusta a un modelo mundelno  sencillo.
