Los primeros conducen a la formacion del respectivo ester etilico con rendimientos elevados -cuando son substratos aromaticos &#8211; o de manera cuantitativa &#8211; si se trata de los homologos alifaticos -. Se forman ademas cantidades variables de olefinas e hidrocarburos. Los aldehidos  frente al mismo organo aluminico  proporcionan alcoholes primarios y secundarios.
