Tanto la sintesis como la degradacion controlan los niveles de al enzima. Las variaciones en la fuente de nitrogeno provocan variaciones tanto en la sistesis como en la degradacion  mientras que las variaciones en la ffuente de carbono provocan cambios fundamentalmente en la sintesis.
