Ademas se puso a punto un metodo de purificacion del dna de este organismo en condiciones optimas para el estudio de la transcripcion y para la caracterizacion de sus propiedades fisicoquimicas mas importantes. El dna purificado de 300-500 x 106 da. Fue muy homogeneo en tama\u00f1o y con una elevada integridad ( 0 2 nicks\/cadena) y pureza. Se realizo la caracterizacion de su densidad de flotacion  temperatura media de fusion contenido en bases (y g+c)  presencia de secuencias repetidas (dna satelite y familias de restriccion). Por otro lado se caracterizaron los coeficientes de sedimentacion  localizacion y tama\u00f1os moleculares de los rnas ribosomicos de artemia (el rrna 25 s esta formado por 2 moleculas de alrededor de 17s cada una). Por ultimo se caracterizo el tama\u00f1o y organizacion de los genes que codifican por los rrnas mediante la utilizacion de endonucleasas de restriccion. El tama\u00f1o de 16 2kb fue homogeneo  para todos los 1000 genes rrna (1% del genoma).
