Como aplicacion se ha estudiado por primera vez la adsorcion desordenada de gases sobre superficies. Concretamente a partir de observaciones experimentales de la variacion del haz atomico especular con el recubrimiento y angulo de incidencia se han caracterizado los primeros estadios de adsorcion de co y o2 sobre ni (100)  dicha caracterizacion ha consistido en la obtencionde la distribucion de la carga electronica de los atomos adsorbidos mediante un sencillo modelo teorico. En el caso del sistema o2\/ni(100) se ha estudiado la cinetica de formacion de las distintas estructuras ordenadas que aparecen a mas altos recubrimientos.
