La conservacion frigorifica de melon variedad tendral negro  se desarrolla optimamente durante un periodo comercial de tres a tres meses y medio tanto en atmosfe ra controlada (10)o (10% de o2 y 0% de co2)  a la temperatura de 15 grados c y 90-95% de humedad relativa  como en atmosfera normal a la misma temperatura y 80-85% de humedad relativa  con prerrefrigeracion por hydrocooling de los frutos  tratados con fungicidas postrecoleccion.
