El objeto se sustituye por unas corrientes inducidas y el trabajo se centra en el estudio de la relacion existente entre estas corrientes y los campos difractados producidos por ellas. Se desarrolla una formulacion espectral  basada en una descomposicion en ondas planas  que permite la resolucion del problema clasico asi como la del problema inverso. La particularizacion al caso de una antena de apertura permite  a partir de una medida en su zona proxima  la reconstruccion de sus caracteristicas de radiacion y de la distribucion sobre la apertura misma. Se desarrollan las bases teoricas y experimentales de un sistema de formacion de imagen a frecuencias de microondas presentando unos primeros resultados obtenidos sobre organos
