Se comprueba la validez de las distintas formulaciones aplicandolas a varios ejemplos de analisis de las correspondientes estructuras  contrastando los resultados con los obtenidos por otros metodos  y realizando algunos estudios parametricos. Finalmente se expone un modelo  basado en la formulacion desarrollada para arcos  para la simulacion del proceso de colocacion de tuberias en el fondo del mar ya sea por el procedimiento de inundacion progresiva o bien desde plataformas flotantes.
