Para ello  la zona se supone anclada a dos discos de igual diametro  coaxiales y paralelos entre si  debido unicamente a las fuerzas de tension superficial. Las principales hipotesis introducidas son: la zona es esbelta  no existen acciones inerciales ni gravitatorias sobre el liquido (el movimiento se debe tan solo a los gradientes de presion asociados a las deformaciones de la entrefase) las propiedades de liquido y entrefase son constantes y  por ultimo  que el movimiento es estrictamente axilsimetrico.  la primera de las hipotesis permite el uso de modelos unidimensionales ya conocidos en la teoria de los chorros capilares como el modelo de lee y el de cosserat. Un modelo unidimensional no lineal ha sido integrado numericamente  calculandose la evolucion del campo de velocidades y de la entrefase  asi como los tiempos de rotura  frecuencias de oscilacion
