En dicho modelo se divide la zona en terminos municipales  en lugar de hacerlo en trapecios circulares como en los modelos tradicionales. Se han desarrollado 2 codigos de computador: edo para trapecios y mundos para municipios  asi como un programa  comyt para realizar la comparacion de los resultados obtenidos por edo y mundos aplicados a una misma central. Como consecuencia del analisis comparativo de ambos metodos se recomienda la utilizacion del modelo de municipios con preferencia al de trapecios  por ser mas adecuado a la realidad socioeconomica de paises mediterraneos como espa\u00f1a y ademas posibilita el estudio radiologico de amplias areas geograficas que incluyan los efectos simultaneos de las descargas de varias instalaciones
