Se ha comprobado tambien si los diferentes nucleotidos son activadores de la hidrolisis del atp-mg++  para ver a continuacion si el efecto producido por un nucleotido se ve modificado por el cambio de ph. Los resultados obtenidos nos han permitido proponer la existencia de un ciclo de protones intimamente asociados al ciclo redox descrito para la atpasa por santiago y
