Merce <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Se ha considerado el estudio de las infecciones urinarias desde el punto de vista de la interaccion bacteria-orina, utilizando tecnicas y metodolog\u00eda que permiten la evaluacion del estado metabolico de las celulas sometidas a diferentes condiciones adversas. E. Coli presenta una mayor capacidad de crecimiento y supervivencia en orina artificial que proteus mirabilis y klebsiella pneumoniae.  la diferencia observada entre estas bacterias se debe a la alcalinizacion de la orina (debida a la presencia de la ureasa en estos dos generos) que ejerce una accion bacteriostatica y bactericida sobre las celulas de klebsiella y proteus. En estudios de supervivencia en orina artificial se ha observado diferencias entre el recuento viable y el recuento directo por microscopia, asi como una evolucion claramente diferente entre el recuento viable y las diferencias actividades metabolicas evaluadas (fosfatasa alcalina, exoproteolitica, b-glucuronidasa, etc.).  la diferencia entre e. Coli y klebsiella se pone claramente de manifiesto en la cinetica de mortalidad que presentan ambas especies en orina. K. Pneumoniae presenta una cinetica lineal monofasica (o exponencial) mientras que e.
