Las enaminoglicosas se obtienen tratando el aminoazucar con un conpuesto 1 3-dicarbonilico o un enol-eter de un conpuesto 1 3-dicarbonilico. La alquilacion de las enaminonas por el metodo de fischer (roh\/hc1) en caliente transcurre estereoselectivamente dando los alquil-enaminoglicosidos con configuraciona anomerica  .  cuando se usa como catalizador una resina cambiadora de ion de caracter acido  se obtienene mezclas de  y enaminoglucopiranosidos y  enaminoglucofuranosido separables por cromatogradia sobre gel de silice. Si la alquilacion se lleva a cabo por el metodo de koenigs-knorr (1:acbr; 2: meoh\/ag2co3) se obtiene los correspindientes  -enaminoglicosidos acetilados. Las estructuras de los enaminoglicosidos obtenidos por ambos metodos se confirman por comparacion con los obtenidos por sintesis inequivoca.
