Las experiencias llevadas a cabo han demostrado la gran influencia del medio proximo lateral sobre las estructuras  siendo una causa estabilizadora de la estructura con tres rollos la conveccion del aire circundante. Se ha obtenido la relacion entre el numero de nusselt y el de rayleigh coincidiendo con las previsiones teoricas. Se han obtenido las energias de formacion y de destruccion de las estructuras celulares para diversos numeros de rayleigh.
