Se ha estudiado previamente la estructura de om de la flavina con metodos indo (cargas atomicas  om etc ) y cndo\/s (espectro electronico de absorcion uv-visible). Se han estudiado los complejos bc-if  bch+-lf y 7-hidroxi bc-lf con el metodo perturbacional de bertran -(1). Se han estudiado los mismos complejos y los siguientes: 7-hidroxi-bch+-lf 7-metroxi-bch+-lf y carbazol-lf con el metodo empirico de fraga (2). Este metodo ha podido usarse para predecir adecuadamente las energias relativas de los complejos de acuerdo con datos experimentales de ah.
