Este fenomeno  lleva consigo una mayor repercusion de los fallos del sistema averias debidas a un cortocircuito simetrico o asimetrico entre fases y\/o a tierra. El trabajo presente  introduce en este campo los potentes medios informaticos que actualmente estan a disposicion del ingeniero de redes  con objeto de ampliar el conocimiento de la repercusion del fallo de una linea en la propia linea y en toda la red.  a continuacion se efectua un analisis de los diversos metodos que se emplean en la actualidad  al objeto de contrastar su adecuacion a los distintos tipos de redes.  por ultimo  se desarrolla un nuevo metodo de tratamiento de fallos  que permite aprovechar las ventajas inherentes de los actuales equipos
