En la afp destaca la elevada proporcion de acido docosahexenoico  la cual disminuye con la edad. Esta variacion  que es independiente de la heterogeneidad molecular de la afp  esta temporalmente relacionada con la incorporacion de acidos grasos poliinsaturados en el cerebro. Las constantes de asociacion de los acidos grasos con la afp son del orden del 10 m-1  algo mayores que las correspondientes a la albumina. Esta ultima proteina no muestra capacidad de fijacion de acido docosahexenoico en presencia de otros acidos grasos. La afp radiomarcada penetra rapidamente en las neuronas inmaduras. Los resultados obtenidos indican que la afp es el transportador propio del acido docosahexenoico durante el desarrollo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
