A partir de medidas experimentales  se han desarrollado diferentes metodos para poder determinar propiedades intrinsecas de las fronteras de grano. Se han fabricado dispositivos de conmutacion miss  utilizando como capa i  silicio mediante ca\u00f1on de electrones. Se ha estudiado como depende la tension de conmutacion del dispositivo en funcion del espesor de la capa de silicio policristalino evaporada.
