Asi en fatiga por flexion rotativa el contenido optimo en austenita retenida es del 20% en probetas no entalladas  disminuyendo este valor cuando hay entallas en la probeta. En fatiga de contacto bajo fuertes deslizamientos  el desgaste disminuye al aumentar la austenita retenida  siendo este efecto mas acusado en el acero f-1540 mas aleado. En resiliencia  aparece claramente un contenido optmo en austenita retenida del 40% para el acero f-1540  mientras que en el f-1522 no se puede poner en evidencia este mismo efecto debido al efecto de
