Manteniendo las caracteristicas dinamicas de la red real. De esta forma dichos estudios se realizan mediante una modelacion en detalle de la parte de la red que comprende el area de estudio  mientras que la parte de la red externa a este area se transforma en una red equivalente  muy reducida.  los metodos de reduccion se basan en las propiedades de coherencia de las redes y permiten considerar los distintos elementos de las unidades generadoras como son la maquina sincrona  el sistema de excitacion  el regulador de velocidad  la turbina y el estabilizador de potencia; ademas de cargas no lineales. La reduccion de la red a estudiar  supone un gran ahorro de tiempo y memoria de ordenador en el analisis de la estabilidad transitoria  sin perdida de exactitud en los resultados.  el programa permite procesar una red de 2000 nudos  3000 lineas y 400 generadores y se ha aplicado a la red de nueva inglaterra y a la red formada por la interconexion de las redes de espa\u00f1a  francia y
