Se ha recogido la planta en cuatro periodos (24 36  70 y 84 dias) determinando el contenido en principios inmediatos  fibra acido detergente  energia bruta  minerales  carotenoides asi como su digestibilidad por el metodo de las bolsas de nylon e  inuitro  a partir de dichos datos se han calculado mediante estimacjiones el valor energetico en unidades forrajeras leche y carne (u.F.L. Y u.F.C.) Y la energia digestible (e.A.)
