La acumulacion proteica en la  carcasse es practicamente identica para todas las dietas  siendo el factor determinante de los cambios en la composicion corporal de los animales la ingesta calorica total. El almidon ejerce un efecto de ahorro sobre el destino energetico de los demas macronutrientes.
