La reaccion con bromo  transcurre anormalmente y se aislan mono  di  tri y tetrabromuros derivados. La reaccion con peroxido de hidrogeno y bromohidantoinaorigina tres fracciones identificadas  de las que una de ellas origina un derivado quimiluminiscente del tipo 1 2-dioxetano cuya cinetica de descomposicion a diferentes temperaturas se estudia siendo cineticas de orden uno y calculando las diferentes energias de activacion.
