Se intercalo litio en la serie vse2-ysy (con y menor o igual a 1); y litio y sodio en los ditelururos de vanadio, niobio y tantalo (1t-mte2 m=v, nb, ta). Las reacciones se hicieron principalmente por via electroquimica aplicando, entre otras, la tecnica de espectroscopia electroquimica de pasos de potencial.  asimismo, se caracterizaron los productos resultantes y se midieron propiedades termodinamicas (incrementos de energia libre estandar de intercalacion) y cineticas (coeficientes de difusion) de los procesos. Se descubrio una nueva superestructura en los compuestos con 0,6 sodios\/formula en los ditelururos de niobio y tantalo; y se propone un modelo geometrico que permite explicar superestructuras como la 2ax2a y la 3ax3a.
