En cuanto a los primeros se se\u00f1alan los aspectos mas relevantes del siglo de las luces y su repercusion en el ambito regional gallego. La faceta estetica muestra como las normas academicas impuestas dieron lugar a las formas artisticas objeto de este estudio. La labor investigadora se ha llevado a cabo (en su mayor parte) en los archivos tomando datos de primera mano en los documentos de la epoca  como lo prueba el apendice documental que se a\u00f1ade que junto con los planos y fotografias  acompa\u00f1an al texto de la tesis. Se ofrece un estudio del urbanismo edificios civiles (administrativos y teatros) instituciones hospitalarias y edificios religiosos.  finalizamos con unas notas biograficas de los arquitectos
