El primer capitulo se dedica a la medida de la rentabilidad; el segundo  a la medida del riesgo; el tercero  a la influencia de la diversificacion sobre el riesgo  puedecontemplar el inversor bajo distintos supuestos  para en los cuatro siguientes  estudiar las relaciones entre rentabilidad esperada y riesgo que se darian en el mercado en equilibrio partiendo de distintas hipotesis. En el noveno capitulose estudian distintos indices de  performance  y en los dos ultimos se revisan las contrastaciones empiricas de los modelos de equilibrio y la incidencia de las hipotesis de que parten.
