Por su facilidad de implantaci\u00f3n y su sensibilidad a fallos de compresi\u00f3n y de combusti\u00f3n, el r\u00e9gimen instant\u00e1neo medido en el cig\u00ed\u00bce\u00f1al constituye una base s\u00f3lida para un algoritmo de detecci\u00f3n y diagn\u00f3stico de fallos en mcia.  en la presente tesis doctoral, se proponen dos m\u00e9todos de diagn\u00f3stico de fallos basados en el an\u00e1lisis del r\u00e9gimen instant\u00e1neo. La primera t\u00e9cnica se basa en la evaluaci\u00f3n del r\u00e9gimen instant\u00e1neo sin disponer de un modelo matem\u00e1tico del motor, y eval\u00faa las caracter\u00edsticas del espectro de la se\u00f1al. el segundo algoritmo se basa en un modelo energ\u00e9tico del motor. Mediante el procesamiento de la din\u00e1mica del motor en el dominio angular, se filtran las variaciones en las condiciones de funcionamiento como el grado de carga y el r\u00e9gimen promedio. Se deduce un \u00edndice de fallo adimensional para la evaluaci\u00f3n del proceso de compresi\u00f3n y de combusti\u00f3n de cada uno de los cilindros. Los \u00edndices de fallo propuestos por ambos m\u00e9todos se utilizan para la detecci\u00f3n e identificaci\u00f3n de fallos de compresi\u00f3n o de combusti\u00f3n mediante la evaluaci\u00f3n de un umbral de decisi\u00f3n o la aplicaci\u00f3n de un algoritmo de decisi\u00f3n m\u00e1s complejo.  finalmente, como aplicaci\u00f3n de los algoritmos desarrollados, se estudia en un motor trabajando en vac\u00edo la posibilidad de ampliar la capacidad de diagn\u00f3stico de fallos de algunas de las pruebas generalmente utilizadas en revisiones peri\u00f3dicas dentro de un plan de mantenimiento predictivo. se obtiene como conclusi\u00f3n principal que el \u00edndice de energ\u00eda forma un \u00edndice de fallo robusto y que facilita diagnosticar el motor en condiciones
