Deterioro que a menudo muestra su lado m\u00e1s dram\u00e1tico en forma de desprendimientos y p\u00e9rdidas del estrato pict\u00f3rico, resultando a menudo muy dif\u00edcil recomponer la imagen original da\u00f1ada.  esta tesis plantea el estudio de las masillas empleadas en la reposici\u00f3n de faltantes en pintura sobre lienzo desde la perspectiva de la mec\u00e1nica, con el fin de poder determinar qu\u00e9 formulaciones son las que mejor se adaptan al comportamiento estructural y la respuesta dimensional de la pintura sobre lienzo.  la tesis se divide en tres partes muy diferenciadas a la vez que complementarias entre s\u00ed: un primer bloque presenta el contexto en el que se enmarca esta investigaci\u00f3n. Se trata de una revisi\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica de criterios, procesos y materiales empelados para el tratamiento de lagunas. El segundo cap\u00edtulo aborda de lleno conceptos fundamentales de mec\u00e1nica, explicando a su vez de forma m\u00e1s espec\u00edfica el comportamiento estructural de una pintura sobre lienzo.
