El h202 es la mol\u00e9cula se\u00f1alizadora que activa la transcripci\u00f3n de ep5c, mientras que otras mol\u00e9culas se\u00f1alizadoras de la respuesta a pat\u00f3genos como son el \u00e1cido salic\u00edlico (sa), \u00e1cido jasm\u00f3nico (ja), o el etileno (et) no lo hacen. En base a esta observaci\u00f3n, en esta tesis se utiliz\u00f3 el gen ep5c como marcador para estudiar la v\u00eda de transducci\u00f3n de se\u00f1ales mediadas por h2o2 en la respuesta defensiva frente a pat\u00f3genos. Para abordar dicho estudio se utiliz\u00f3 una estrategia de biolog\u00eda molecular complementada con estudios de gen\u00e9tica reversa, adem\u00e1s de una estrategia de gen\u00e9tica directa utilizando los mutantes ocp (overrexpressor of cationic peroxidase) que activan la transcripci\u00f3n del transg\u00e9n pep5c::gus de forma constitutiva en arabidopsis thaliana.  mediante un an\u00e1lisis funcional del promotor de epsc en a.Thaliana se delimit\u00f3 una zona del promotor de ep5c, de 51 pb, denominada r1 y necesaria para la activaci\u00f3n de la transcripci\u00f3n del gen frente a pseudomonas syringae pv.Tomato dc3000 (p.S.T. Dc3000) o h2o2. Un rastreo de simple h\u00edbrido en levadura permiti\u00f3 identificar factores de transcripci\u00f3n de a.Thaliana que se unen a r1, que pertenecen a la familia r2r3 de factores myb o a la familia wip. Tras la caracterizaci\u00f3n de la uni\u00f3n a r1 de los factores de transcripci\u00f3n myb46, myb112, y wip2 se demostr\u00f3 que los dos primeros requieren de las tres guanina presentes en el elemento cis mbsii contenido en r1 para unirse a este \u00faltimo; por el contrario, el factor wip2 requiere de al menos dos vueltas de h\u00e9lice con los elementos cis mbsii, caja h, y caja g contenidos en r1.  estudios de resistencia frente al pat\u00f3genos p.S.T.
