La utilizaci\u00f3n del nitr\u00f3geno contenido en estas reservas es especial para la germinaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de la planta. durante la germinaci\u00f3n las prote\u00ednas son hidrolizadas liberando la arginina que se transporta a la planta en desarrollo donde se hidroliza por la actividad arginasa produciendo ornitina y urea. Hasta el momento se desconoc\u00eda el destino metab\u00f3lico de la ornitina pero en este trabajo se propone que es empleada por la enzima orinita *-aminotransferasa (psdoat) para la s\u00edntesis de glutamato, postul\u00e1ndose como la principal fuente de glutamato durante la germinaci\u00f3n y en las etapas tempranas del desarrollo plantular. Por otra parte, durante estas etapas se ha observado una gran acumulaci\u00f3n del amino\u00e1cido asparragina. En la tesis se postula que la asparragina es sintetizadas por una asparragina sintetasa (psas1) a partir del nitr\u00f3geno del catabolismo de la arginina. finalmente, se propone que un gen que codifica una asparraginasa (psaspg) emplea la asparragina acumulada en el hipoc\u00f3tilo de las plantas para el desarrollo del sistema vascular.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la
