Dos disoluciones alcalinas (ca(oh)2 saturada y naoh 0.25 m) fueron inyectadas desde el lado del mortero de cemento a 25, 60 y 120 \u00c2\u00bac durante un a\u00f1o.  la disoluci\u00f3n de ca(oh)2 saturada no altera la mineralog\u00eda en la escala de tiempo experimental. La disoluci\u00f3n de naoh produce cambios menores a 60-25 \u00c2\u00bac, pero a 120 \u00c2\u00bac se produce una alteraci\u00f3n heterog\u00e9nea repartida por toda la probeta de bentonita.  los c\u00f3digos de transporte reactivo phreeqc y crunchflow, reproducen la reactividad observada experimentalmente en la interfase mortero de cemento &#8211; bentonita, sin embargo, no son capaces
